Althams Travel receive remarkable accolade - 28th in the TOP 100 Female led Companies in the UK in association with The Independent
We are delighted to announce that Althams Travel has been included in the 2025 TOP 100 E2E Female led Companies in the whole of the UK, in association with The Independent.
The E2E Female 100 embodies the height of entrepreneurial excellence, carefully curated and validated by E2E, Creditsafe and Experian.
Each track is supported by E2E’s headline partner Universal Partners. This prestigious roster spotlights UK-based, female-led enterprises that have exhibited rapid business expansion, achieved substantial revenue growth over the last three years, and established successful business models, positioning themselves for a promising future.
The ranking criteria for the E2E Female 100 list are firmly based on turnover of over £5 million, a workforce of 10 or more employees, female leadership at the CEO, Managing Director, or Senior Partner level within private firms, and year-on-year headcount growth. This emphasises E2E’s dedication to identifying and honouring female-led enterprises that stand out from the crowd.
The E2E Female 100 list is a testament to celebrating the ambition and dedication of female entrepreneurs and founders across various sectors. It highlights UK-based companies that excel not only in their specific fields but also lead transformative business strategies that result in impressive turnover statistics.

We Won Best Large Agency North West England & North Wales
for the 11th Consecutive Year
The Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards are the largest celebration of the travel trade in the UK & Ireland and the highest accolade for travel agencies and agents. The awards are designed to honour those travel agencies and travel agents who truly represent the best of the travel industry and recognise excellence in a range of categories and specialisms. The glittering awards ceremony was held in front of more than 700 guests in London in association with headline sponsor Celestyal, and was hosted by radio and television favourite, Jordan North, alongside Travel Weekly editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley. The award winners are selected based on voting by travel industry suppliers including tour operators, airlines, cruise lines and tourist boards, with some categories decided by panels of expert judges.
TTG Top 50 Travel Agencies Awards 2023
We are pleased to announce that our Managing Director 'Sandra McAllister' came away with the award for 'Contribution to Travel' at the recent TTG Top 50 Awards evening.
Our Huddersfield branch had been shortlisted for the award of 'Top Travel Agency - Yorkshire' at the awards and we are very proud of Nicky and her team for coming runner up and are now one of the TTG 'Top 50 Travel Agencies' for 2023.
Sandra received numerous nominations, from within Althams Travel and externally, with judges saying: “Through a sustained career in travel over the past 30 years, Sandra has become well known as a compassionate business leader, taking Althams Travel to success, recently implementing a four-day working week - and during Covid becoming the only travel agent to be granted an audience with Rishi Sunak.”
The TTG Top 50 ceremony took place at The Vox in Birmingham on Thursday 27 April, with more than 500 of the UK and Ireland’s top travel agents and supplier-partners in attendance, with entertainment from Fine Young Cannibals’ Roland Gift and chart-topper Chesney Hawkes.

We are pleased to announce we have won Travel Agent of the Year (large agency) in North West England and North Wales for the 10th consecutive year.
Our Managing Director, Sandra McAllister was honoured with 'Outstanding Contribution to the Industry' Award at the Agent Achievement Awards.
The event, held in partnership with headline sponsor Virgin Atlantic for the third year, took place at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel with more than 700 guests in attendance.
The coveted awards were presented by TV and radio favourite Mark Wright alongside Travel Weekly editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley, while entertainment was provided by ex-Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle and star of musical theatre Ricardo Afonso.
